Tank level vs level increment

The Tank Strapping API uses level increments to communicate level rather than a raw level string. This allows different formats of level to be represented by a single unit system. If you are currently using a display level, then this level will need to be converted to an increment system prior to being used in the Tank Strapping API.
For example:
-
If a strapping table is configured to use 16th inch, then a level reading of 005-03-03 would be converted to 1011 increments:
(005 x 12 x 16) + (03 x 16) + 03 = 1011
-
If a strapping table configured as 100th meter, then a level reading of 5.5 would be converted to 550 increments:
(5.5 x 100 ) = 550
