Configure the DRA Rate Management tab of the DRAInjector record for the Setpoint Lookup method

The following section details how to configure the Drag Reducing agent (DRA) Rate Management tab when you have selected Setpoint Lookup as the Rate Management Method.

Before you begin

  • Ensure that you have configured the DRA Injector Group field on the Main tab prior to configuring DRA Rate Management for the Setpoint Lookup method.

To configure the DRA Rate Management tab of the DRAInjector record for the Setpoint Lookup method

  1. Open the DRAInjector record. For more information on opening a DRAInjector record, see Opening the Drag Reducing Agent Injector (DRAInjector) Record.

The DRAInjector Row Edit dialog appears.

  2. Select the DRA Rate Management tab.

The DRA Rate Management tab appears.

  3. From the Rate Management Method dropdown list, select Setpoint Lookup.

  4. In the Rate Setpoint Analog field, click (...) to select the analog point that is used to set the injection rate for DRA. This value is used to ensure that the desired concentration of DRA in the product is maintained.

  5. In the Status/Multistate Point field of the Flush Control for Setpoint Lookup section, click (...) to select the status or multistate point that you would like to associate the record with.

  6. In the Flushing States field, enter the states that the application should be watching the status/multistate point for in order to determine if the injector is in a flushing state. A DRA Injector that is detected to be in a Flushing state will alter the logic of a DRA Injector that is using the DRA Setpoint Lookup method. Specifically, the DRA Injector will be treated as if it were in the Stopped state, which means that Shutdown commands (from the Setpoint Lookup system) will be ignored and Start commands (from the Setpoint Lookup system) will always be sent.

  7. Select the Prevent Zero Setpoints checkbox to prevent setpoint lookup from sending a zero to the Rate Setpoint Analog.
