Insert new steps in an Action Sequence using the Action Sequence Designer.

To insert new Action Sequence steps

  1. Open the Action Sequence Designer for the Action Sequence of interest. For more information on how to open the Action Sequence Designer, see Open an Action Sequence in the Action Sequence Designer.

  2. Right-click any area inside the Action Sequence Designer window to open the Action menu.

  3. Select Add New Step.

  4. Select a new Action Sequence step type from Action Sequence Step Type menu.

    A blank Action Sequence Step dialog appears. In the following example, an Action Sequence Wait Step type has been selected.

    Note: Alternatively, you can insert a new step by dragging the mouse from the Out port (or, if applicable, the False or True ports) of an existing step to an empty location on the Action Sequence Designer window and selecting a new step from the Action Sequence Step Type menu that appears.

  5. Configure the new Action Sequence step. For more information on how to configure Action Sequence steps, see Configure Action Sequence steps.

  6. Link the new Action Sequence step to existing steps to construct the Action Sequence. For more information on linking Action Sequence steps, see Link Action Sequence Steps.

  7. Select Save to save the changes to the Action Sequence.
