Understand legacy Action Sequences

Note: If you have upgraded from an older version of Action Sequence (Prior to AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids 2022), it is strongly recommended that you run the Action Sequence Migration tool to upgrade your legacy Action Sequence records to the new Action Sequence Designer format. For more information on the Action Sequence Migration tool, contact the AVEVA Global Customer Support team.

If the Action Sequence Migration tool was not run, your legacy Action Sequence records will execute as expected. However, you will be prompted to save anytime you open the Action Sequence Designer and close it, even if you have not made any edits to the Action Sequence record. If you choose to save, the Action Sequence record will be upgraded to the new Action Sequence Designer format. The upgrade operation will not have an impact on the operational side of the Action Sequence record.
