Set up product compatibility rules for Product Transfer Checking using the Rules Validation Engine (RVE)

Devices which can be commanded to initiate product transfer must have the transfer checked for product compatibility before the transfer can proceed. This checking is configured using the Rules Validation Engine (RVE) mechanism. The RVE uses the status or multistate record that has the polling parameter information for the device to confirm that the product transfer is going to be a success. The devices that are responsible for initiating transfer are:

• Pump

• Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) Injector

• Valve

Configure the rules for each device type as follows:

• Configure the status / multistate record Rules Validation Engine (RVE) tab

• Open the Rules Validation Engine (RVE) Rules Set (Rveruleset) Table Edit window
