You can require that the Deviation (or Creep) state exist for a minimum number of consecutive processing times before an alarm is issued. To do this, the following are configured on the Alarming tab.

  • The Enable Creep Alarm Suppression checkbox is selected.

  • The number of consecutive times in the Deviation state is assigned in the Creep Threshold Violation Limit state.

If you sets the Creep Alarm Timeout field, the alarm will remain for the configured period before it can clear when the Deviation state ends.

If the Creep Deviation Inhibit checkbox on the Inhibits tab is selected, no alarm will result when a transition to the Deviation state occurs.

For more information, see Configuring the Alarming Tab on the Tank Record.
