The Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) Injector application is created in order to manage the complexities associated with injecting DRA into a pipeline. Complexities include monitoring which products are upstream on their way to the injector (and thus should be checked for DRA compatibility), the rate at which DRA should be injecting, and checking the density of the current product being injected into against the densities of known DRA-incompatible products.
In addition, a status or multistate point can be configured to monitor for additional violations.
The Rule Validation Engine (RVE) rule (and corresponding Business Logic Tier [BLT]) can be configured for an injector source record to determine whether turning it to a state that pumps DRA is acceptable or not.
Note: Components on the control displays are enabled or disabled based on the current active mode's privileges. This is configured through the records' controllable privileges in DistribuSyS. If you do not have permission to control the record, the following message will appear on your control displays: Active mode prohibits control from this system. Talk to your Administrator for more information.
