The Product Molecular Composition (moleper) records are configured using the Row Edit dialog. The following procedure describes how to configure the Main tab of the moleper record.

To set up the Product Molecular Composition Main tab
-
Enter a Name for your Product Molecular Composition (moleper) record.
-
Optionally, you may enter a Description.
-
Select how you want RealTime to define the product composition.
-
If you wish to manually enter your product's composition, select Configure by Mole Fraction.
-
If you would prefer to enter the name of a single product, select Configure by Fluid Name.
Note: The option you have selected here will dictate what fields are available for edit.
-
-
Enter the Analysis Temperature in Fahrenheit units. This enables the correction library to calculate density and corrected volume.
-
Enter the Analysis Pressure in pounds per square inch. This enables the correction library to calculate density and corrected volume.
-
The Base Density provides the corrected density that was calculated from the correction library in lbs/ft3. It is read-only.
-
The Density Update Time provides the timestamp when the density was last calculated.
-
If you selected Configure by Mole Fraction, you may then enter the appropriate composition element information. All components must have an individual value between 0.0 and 1.0, adding up to a total of 1.0.
Identification Fields on the moleper Row Edit: Main Tab
Name
Description
Name
The name of the moleper record.
Description
The description of the Product Molecular Composition. This field is optional.
Configuration Type
There are two options available for selection:
-
Configure by Mole Fraction - The Composition of the product is defined by the components listed in the Composition section of the moleper Row Edit. All components must have an individual value between 0.0 and 1.0, adding up to a total of 1.0. If the values are entered incorrectly, you will be unable to save and a yellow triangle will appear next to the Configuration Type dropdown list box. There is also a tooltip describing the error.
-
Configure by Fluid Name - The composition is defined by the name of a single product entered in the Fluid Name field below. The name entered must be recognized by both the moleper table and the associated Correction Library. The product will consist entirely of the listed fluid when this option is selected.
Fluid Name
The name of the liquid petroleum product contained in the pipe.
Valid Fluid Names include any of the components listed in the Composition section of the Main tab in the moleper Row Edit dialog, in addition to the following fluids:
-
Benzene
-
Ethylene
-
Propylene
-
Toluene
-
CO
-
CO2
Analysis Temperature (F)
Temperature used as an input for the correction library to calculate density and corrected volume. The temperature must be specified in Fahrenheit (F) units.
Analysis Pressure (PSI)
Pressure used as an input for the correction library to calculate density and corrected volume. The pressure must be specified in pounds per square inch (PSI).
Base Density (lbs/ft3)
The corrected density calculated from the correction library. It is displayed in pounds per cubic feet (lbs/ft3).
Density Update Time
The timestamp when the density was last calculated.
-
All components must have an individual value between 0.0 and 1.0, adding up to a total of 1.0. If the values are entered incorrectly, you will be unable to save and a yellow triangle will appear next to the Configuration Type dropdown list box. There is also a tooltip describing the error.
