What happens during a failover or mode switch largely depends on the stage you are at in the Reflex Monitoring process. The following provides an overview of the process.
|
Trigger State |
After a Failover |
After a Mode Switch |
|---|---|---|
|
Waiting to reach trigger state |
On the new Hot system, the reflex will continue to wait for the trigger state to be reached. |
On the new owning system, the reflex will continue to wait for the trigger state to be reached. |

Waiting to meet data quality threshold |
On the new Hot system, the reflex will be re-evaluated. If the reflex is still in the trigger state, the reflex will wait for the data quality threshold to be met. |
On the new owning system, the reflex will continue to wait for the data quality threshold to be met. |

Counting down |
On the new Hot system, the reflex will be re-evaluated. If the reflex is still in the trigger state, regardless of data quality threshold, the countdown will resume. |
On the new owning system, the countdown will continue. |

Paused |
On the new Hot system, the reflex will remain in the paused state and will be re-evaluated. If the reflex is still in the trigger state, regardless of data quality threshold, the countdown will remain paused. |
On the new owning system, the countdown will remain paused. |
