This procedure describes how to delete elements from the Tank Strapping table. In the Tank Strapping application (part of the tank Row Edit in the Advanced Database Editor (ADE)), these are known as rows. If your end goal is to delete the Tank Strapping table entirely, you must first delete all of the elements contained in the table first.
Note: As stated above, while this procedure will guide you through element deletion using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, it is preferred that you delete the rows using the Tank Strapping application.
To delete Tank Strapping elements
-
Open Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
-
Do the following to find the ID of the Tank Strapping table to which the elements belong:
-
Click New Query.
-
Type the following:
SELECT [Id] FROM [LiquidTank].[dbo].[TankStrappingTables] where name = '<TankStrappingTableName>'
-
Replace <TankStrappingTableName> with the name of the table that you wish to delete.
-
Click Execute.
This will return an ID for that table. All records that are associated with this Tank Strapping table will use the same ID. You will use this ID to indicate which elements should be deleted.

DELETE FROM [LiquidTank].[dbo].[TankStrappingElements_Audit] WHERE TankStrappingTableId = '<TankStrappingTableId>'
DELETE FROM [LiquidTank].[dbo].[TankStrappingElements] WHERE Tankstrappingtableid = '<TankStrappingTableId>'

Click Execute.
