Create a new Flow Network model using a simx file when a SimConstruct workspace does not exist. Then upload the newly created Flow Network model from the newly created SimConstruct workspace into the RTDB.
Context:
-
.simx file exists.
-
SimConstruct workspace does not exist.
Outcome:
-
Tool will create a new SimConstruct workspace.
-
Tool will use the .simx file to add the specified Flow Network model to the newly created SimConstruct workspace.
-
Tool will upload the specified Flow Network model using the newly created SimConstruct workspace (UOM) into the RTDB.
Usage Example:
FnetExport -f "Line_20" -p "New_Workspace" -e "es/control_room" [-d "dataset"] [-c "mocChangeset"]
Note: This example assumes that the New_Workspace project does not exist but Line_20 is a valid .simx file. Therefore, the New_Workspace workspace must be created and the Line_20 pipeline imported into it and then exported to RealTime.
In the usage example, the arguments will load Line_20 from the New_Workspace project and export it to the es\control_room RealTime system. The new workspace will then be available to open in SimConstruct like any other workspace.
Notes: The parameter [-d "dataset"] is optional. The argument is only used when the Flow Network is created in RealTime for the first time.
The parameter [-c "mocChangeset"] is optional but should be specified for distributed systems.
Equivalence in the SimConstruct User Interface:
Executing the command line string corresponds to completing the following actions in SimConstruct:
-
Create new Workspace.

-
Select Pipelines and then click NEW.

-
Set the Line_20 pipeline as type Flow Network and then click LOAD MODEL.

-
[Optional] Specify the Dataset. In the following example, LMS_OAS is selected.

-
Click UPDATE DATABASE.

New_Workspace will then be available in the Workspace list.
