The AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids Flow Network is an unbounded, directionless model or graph that exists in the RealTime database (RTDB). The Flow Network is a virtual representation of a real-world pipeline. The Flow Network’s pipeline is represented through a collection of elements with information stating how those elements connect to each other and which state each element is in.
The following sections outline how these elements work together and describe the basic philosophy and implementation of functionality within the Flow Network application. It also describes how to leverage this model to configure higher-level applications that use the Flow Network such as Line Blockage.
