Override default values and reset Weighted Averages from the Accumulator Override Control window

From the Accumulator Override Control window, you may inhibit calculations, and also opt to enter manual override values, as opposed to using the data entered from the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA system for Density, Temperature, Pressure, and the Meter Correction Factor (MCF). The reset functionality enables the Controller to start a new weighted average calculation, by ignoring previous readings and using the current instantaneous RealTime value (or the manually entered value, if provided) as a starting point for the weighted average calculation.

The following table details the items on the Accumulator Override Control dialog.

Group box

Fields

Description

Density

Current Value

The field indicates the observed density from the field. The units displayed are defined in the unit profile.

Manual / Realtime

Select Manual to provide a manual density value and RealTime for an AVEVA Enterprise SCADA-provided density value.

Operator Value

Displays the value entered in the New Value field.

New Value

If you have selected Manual as your source for accumulation information, you will be able to enter a value in the New Value field. This value will appear in the Operator Value field.

Note: The application will treat the value entered into the New Value field as a corrected density.

Reset WAD

Select the Reset WAD checkbox to ignore history and use the current instantaneous density value (RealTime or Manual) to initialize the Weighted Average Density (WAD) for the accumulator.

Temperature

Current Value

This field indicates the observed temperature from the field. The units displayed are defined in the unit profile.

Manual / Realtime

Select Manual to provide a manual value for temperature and RealTime for a AVEVA Enterprise SCADA-provided density value.

Operator Value

Displays the manually entered temperature value entered in the New Value field.

New Value

If you have selected Manual as your source of accumulation information, you will be able to enter and submit a new value to be displayed in the Operator Value field.

Reset WAT

Select the Reset WAT checkbox to ignore history and use the current instantaneous temperature value (RealTime or Manual) to initialize the Weighted Average Temperature (WAT) for the accumulator.

Pressure

Current Value

This field indicates the observed pressure from the field. The units displayed are defined in the unit profile.

Manual / Realtime

Select Manual to enter a manual value for pressure, and RealTime for a AVEVA Enterprise SCADA-provided pressure value.

Operator Value

Displays the manually entered pressure value that is entered in the New Value field.

New Value

If you have selected Manual as your source of accumulation information, you will be able to enter a value in the New Value field. This value will appear in the Operator Value field.

Reset WAP

Select the Reset WAP checkbox to ignore history and use the current instantaneous pressure value (RealTime or Manual) to initialize the Weighted Average Pressure (WAP) for the accumulator.

Meter Correction Factor (MCF)

Current Value

This field indicates the observed MCF from the field. The units displayed are defined in the unit profile.

Manual / RealTime

Select Manual to enter a manual value for MCF, and RealTime for a AVEVA Enterprise SCADA-provided MCF value.

Operator Value

Displays the manually entered Controller value for MCF that is entered in the New Value field.

New Value

If you have selected Manual as your source of accumulation information for MCF, you will be able to enter a value in the New Value field. This value will appear in the Operator Value field.

MCF Grid

Select MCF Grid to open the Meterfactor Control dialog.

Note: A reset of WAD, WAT or WAP that is initiated by the Controller will take effect in the next processing cycle, except when it encounters one or more of the following conditions:

- The Accumulator is inhibited or stale; or

- The parent Virtual Flow Computer (VFC) is inhibited, stale or in simulation mode.

In these scenarios, the initiated reset will take effect in the first processing cycle following recovery from the conditions above.
