Edit a device's volume readings after ticket completion using the Accumulator Edit dialog
The Accumulator Edit dialog allows you to review and edit a device’s volume readings, weighted averages, and volume corrections for a completed ticket—before acceptance occurs.
Volume corrections may be calculated based on the configured American Petroleum Institute (API) library selected from the unitprofile table for this Batch Transfer.
Some reasons why you might edit the accumulator values include instances where the flow computer listed an incorrect value or the wrong product was listed on the ticket. Editing these fields will result in recalculation of ticket volumes.
After a ticket has been accepted, it is possible to re-open the ticket, make changes, and then re-accept.
Note: When you use this display to edit a ticket, the system assumes that the provided Indicated
Volume (IV) is not corrected or partially corrected. The system will apply the provided
density, temperature, pressure and Meter Correction Factor (MCF) to the IV to recalculate
a new Gross Standard Volume (GSV).
The Accumulator Edit dialog is not supported for product types associated with a product
group with the correction library of API 11.3.2.1 1st Edition—Ethylene.
To access the Accumulator Edit dialog
-
From the Completed Ticket Control dialog, double-click the row header of one of the Devices Associated with this Ticket.
The Accumulator Edit dialog appears.

The following table details the items on the Accumulator Edit dialog.
Section |
Item |
Description |
|---|---|---|
Accumulator Readings |
Starting IV |
Provides the Indicated Volume (IV) that the accumulator started with. The units used for volume are defined in the unitprofile table as selected for this Batch Transfer. |
Ending IV |
Provides the Indicated Volume (IV) that the accumulator ended with. The units are the same as those used in the Starting IV. |
IV |
This read-only informational value is the Indicated Volume (IV), which is calculated as (Ending IV - Starting IV). The units are the same as those used in the Starting IV. |
Weighted Averages |
Density |
Provides the density information after it has been weighted. The units used for volume are defined in the unitprofile table as selected for this Batch Transfer. When Recalculate is selected, this value is used as input to calculate the Volume Correction fields. |
Pressure |
Provides the pressure information after it has been weighted. The units used for volume are defined in the unitprofile table as selected for this Batch Transfer. When Recalculate is selected, this value is used as input to calculate the Volume Correction fields. |
Temperature |
Provides the temperature information after it has been weighted. The units used for volume are defined in the unitprofile table as selected for this Batch Transfer. When Recalculate is selected, this value is used as input to calculate the Volume Correction fields. |
MCF |
Provides the Meter Correction Factor (MCF) information after it has been weighted. There are no units associated with this value. This value is a compensation factor that accounts for non-ideal mechanical effects such as bearing friction, fluid drag, and mechanical or electrical readout drag. For more information, see Understand Meter Factors. This value must be greater than zero. When Recalculate is selected, this value is used as input to calculate the Volume Correction fields. |
Flow Rate |
Provides the average flow rate. The units used for volume are defined in the unitprofile table as selected for this Batch Transfer. |
Volume Corrections |
CTL |
Provides the weighted average correction for the Temperature of a Liquid (CTL). This value must be greater than zero. When Recalculate is selected, this value is recalculated, but the changes will not be saved until you select Submit Changes. Inputs are the same as those used in the IV field and the values specified for the Weighted Averages fields (except for Flow Rate). |
CPL |
Provides the weighted average correction for the Pressure of a Liquid (CPL). This value must be greater than zero. When Recalculate is selected, this value is recalculated, but the changes will not be saved until you select Submit Changes. Inputs are the same as those used in the IV field and the values specified for the Weighted Averages fields (except for Flow Rate). |
CTPL |
Correction for Temperature and Pressure of a Liquid (CTPL). This value must be greater than zero. When Recalculate is clicked, this value is recalculated, but the changes will not be saved until you select Submit Changes. Inputs are the same as those used in the IV field and the values specified for the Weighted Averages fields (except for Flow Rate). |
GSV |
Provides the corrected Gross Standard Volume (GSV). This value must be greater than zero. When Recalculate is selected, this value is recalculated, but the changes will not be saved until you select Submit Changes. Inputs are the same as those used in the IV field and the values specified for the Weighted Averages fields (except for Flow Rate). |
Starting GSV |
Provides the starting GSV. The units are the same as those for Starting IV and Ending IV. |
Ending GSV |
This read-only informational value is the ending GSV, which is calculated as GSV + Starting GSV. The units are the same as those for Starting IV. |
GV |
Provides the Gross Volume (GV) information which is the observed volume with meter factor applied. When Recalculate is selected, this value is recalculated, but the changes will not be saved until you select Submit Changes. Inputs are the same as those used in the IV field and the MCF value specified for the Weighted Averages fields. |
Submit Changes |
Saves the changes you have made and closes the Accumulator Edit dialog. |
Dismiss |
Dismisses the changes you have made and closes the Accumulator Edit dialog. |
Note: Editing completed tickets using the Accumulator Edit dialog does not trigger a recalculation of the mass value of the accumulator.
