The Flow section provides information on the associated flow rate points. Flow Information describes the point information appearing on the Pressure Monitor Control window.

The following table details the Flow information.

Field

Description

Collective Flow Alarm State

This is an alarm state that occurs when both pressure and flow are in alarm.

Name

The name of the record.

Reading

The current real-time pressure reading from the configured pressure point.

Deadbands (+DB1, -DB1, +DB2, -DB2)

The actual flow rate value is checked against the predicted flow rate. If the former is not within the tolerances defined as deadband 1 (+DB1, -DB1), then the checking algorithm proceeds to check it against deadband 2 (+DB2, -DB2) on the next pass of the Pressure / Flow Monitoring (Pressmon) application if the 2nd DB is configured. If this deadband check is also violated, AVEVA Enterprise SCADA issues a flow rate deviation alarm and event.

The positive deadband values (+DB1, +DB2) are used for checking increases in flow rate. The negative deadband values (-DB1, -DB2) are used for checking decreases in flow rate.

State

This field shows the current flow condition of the flow rate configuration. There are three possible states:

  • Normal (point is not in violation of any deadbands).

  • DB1 (point is in violation of first deadband).

  • Alarm (point is in violation of second deadband).

Active

The cells in this column read Yes if the point used for sensing flow rate is fresh, or No if it is stale.

Inhibit

This field indicates whether or not the pressmon record is inhibited.

Flow Path

The field indicates the flow paths that have been selected for monitoring the rate, Batch Transfer (BatchXfer), or Virtual Flow Computer (virtualflowcomputer) records providing the flow rate measurement.
