Configure the valve command state

The Select Command State dialog enables you to configure the command that should be executed on either the status or the multistate point. The dropdown list is populated with all of the possible commands that are currently configured on the point that has been configured in the Path field on the Main tab of the valve record. When a Controller attempts to execute an Open, Close, or Stop command from the easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS), this command is then executed on the telemetered point, if it is configured.

To configure the valve command state

  1. In the Command Open, Command Close, or Command Stop field, select (...).

The Select Command State dialog appears.

  2. Select OPEN, CLOSE or STOP from the dropdown list to set the valve command state.

Notes: The available commands are based on the output command base message set from the associated status or multistate point. If an output command base message set is not configured for the status or multistate point, the configured base message set is used.

If the command base message is configured, the maximum number of values in the message set is eight. In situations where the command base message is not configured, it will use the base message in the Select Command State dialog, which, for its message set, has a maximum possible number of values of 32.

  3. Select Accept.
