After creating Flow Network models using AVEVA Process Simulation (APS), the Flow Network Export Command Line tool provides the user with the ability to upload the generated .simx files into the AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids RealTime database (RTDB) without the need to utilize the AVEVA Pipeline Integrity Monitor (SimConstruct) user interface. This serves as an enabler for the automation of Flow Network configuration updates and testing.

Note: The file name of the Flow Network Export Command Line tool is %DNAInstallRoot%\SimSuite\bin\FnetExport\FnetExport.exe.

Understanding the Flow Network Export Command Line tool software prerequisites

The following software prerequisites must be present in order to use the Flow Network Export Command Line tool:

  • Because the Flow Network Export Command Line tool is a component of AVEVA Pipeline Integrity Monitor (SimConstruct), SimConstruct must be installed.

  • The LMS.Tools FnetBLTCaller application must be installed. For more information on how to install the application, refer to the AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids Installer Guide documentation.
