View the revision history for the pending schedule using the Pending Schedule – All Revisions window

Every time you edit a ticket, a revision is created. This allows you to maintain an archive of each change that the ticket has gone through. This archive is maintained on a ticket-by-ticket basis, and is used in the following manner:

The Pending Schedule – All Revisions window allows you to compensate for inconsistencies between a schedule provided to you and the actual conditions of the pipeline. In the event that an automatic schedule update occurs and provides incorrect information for a ticket, you can use the display to promote a previous version of a ticket. Keeping revisions provides an audit trail, allowing for visibility into the ticket’s history, and the changes that were made.

Note: The ability to promote tickets is based on the current active mode's privileges. This is configured through the records' controllable privileges in DistribuSyS. If you do not have permission to control the record, the following message will appear on your control displays: Active mode prohibits control from this system. Talk to your Administrator for more information.

To promote a ticket revision to current ticket status

  1. Select the row header to promote the selected ticket revision to the status of current ticket.

Notes: Promoting the ticket will create a new revision. Essentially, every time a ticket is promoted a new revision is created to indicate something has changed. The ticket position is updated accordingly.

If you are promoting the ticket, and the ticket is associated with a remote ticket batch transfer, this will initiate a download command to the remote device as long as the Batch Transfer record is not inhibited.

    A confirmation message appears.

  2. Select Yes to indicate that you wish to promote the ticket revision.

The following confirmation message appears if the Batch Transfer record is not inhibited. If it is not inhibited, a download is attempted after the ticket promotion. Select Yes to indicate that you would like to continue.
