Understand data flow for Action Sequences

The Action Sequence table provides control for a chained operation. A secondary table, sequenceStep, contains a record for each step of the sequence. These records can either be a set record (change the value of a point), a function record (perform a specific function on a table), a wait record (pause for a specified number of seconds), or a decision record (evaluate an input path with a comparison value using a logical operator).

The set records allow you to define various settings for the records associated with interconnected RealTime database (RTDB) tables:
-
valve
-
pump
-
status
-
multistate
-
analog
For analog points, a setpoint value is specified.
When a sequence is started, controls are sent to different objects (for example, valve). A timeout may be defined for each step such that the value of the object must be changed within that period of time.
