Changes to the total volume calculations are performed on the Virtual Flow Computer (VFC) Controls dialog.

There are four ways to modify the total volume calculation:
-
Inhibiting the record. For more information, see Inhibit a Virtual Flow Computer (VFC) record.
-
Making changes to the sediment and water. (This changes the Net Standard Volume (NSV) calculation). For more information, see Change the Virtual Flow Computer (VFC) percentage of Correction of Sediment and Water.
-
Changing the Product Type. This has an impact on the American Petroleum Institute (API) calculations used to correct the volume. For more information, see Change the Virtual Flow Computer (VFC) Product Type.
-
Performing a meter simulation. Using the Meter Simulate feature allows you to calculate volume based on a Controller-set flow rate rather than polled data. For more information, see Starting a Virtual Flow Computer (VFC) meter simulation.
Note: In addition, use the VFC Controls dialog to gain access to other, associated applications. For example, the Batch Transfer application can be accessed and alarms issued against the virtualflowcomputer record can be viewed from the VFC Controls dialog. For more information, see Access Batch Transfer information from the VFC Controls dialog and Access Virtual Flow Computer (VFC) alarms and events from the VFC Controls dialog.
