The following commonly used special characters are available for entry in the Name field. There are a number of special characters that are available for use that are not listed in the table below.

In the Slip Factor field, you are not allowed to enter letters, special characters, or a number with a value above 1, or a negative number.

In the Gross Standard Volume (GSV) from Upstream End field, you can only enter positive numbers and periods.

Notes is a free-text field.

In the event that you opted to cut and paste the information from another source, if invalid characters are inserted, the following occurs:

  • The valid characters will remain in the field, but the invalid keys will be removed.

For example, cut and paste the following into the Name field: @@@#jdfwr.

Since the @ symbol is an illegal character, it will be removed, leaving you with the following, as demonstrated below in the Cut-And-Paste Error Messaging examples.

    Cut-And-Paste Error Messaging Example

    Cut-and-Paste Slip Factor Error

Cut-and-Paste Error for the Increment and Decrement values

The software does not allow you to enter negative values, only positive ones. This is a change from previous iterations of the Anomaly Edit window. However, there are Increment and Decrement radio buttons on the Anomaly Edit window, allowing you to indicate whether the value should increase (increment) or decrease (decrement).
