Extend linepack calculations

The baseline Batch Tracking application uses readings from the temperature and pressure analog records configured on the pipe segment records to calculate the linepack value for each pipe segment. In the scenario where analog readings are not available, the linepack value is calculated based on estimated temperatures and pressures through linear interpolation of the known readings.

For situations where other linepack calculation methods need to be supported, AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids provides you with an extension point to provide your own linepack calculation plugin. For example, instead of using one temperature reading to calculate linepack, you can provide a formula that uses readings from multiple temperature sources based on your unique pipeline setup.
