Understand how custom precision values are rounded by the system

It is possible to choose how each unit will be rounded. The rounding is applied to alarms and events as well as summary grids in the easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS) windows.

No rounding will be applied in the following instances:

• If a negative value is entered as part of the precision profile.

• If a rounding fraction is less than 0.0000001.

The custom rounding is applied in the following manner. First, the software asks the following question:

Is the original value a multiple of the precision value?

If the answer is yes, the value will not change. If the original value is not a multiple of the precision value, the value will change to the nearest multiple of the precision value.
