Understand Countdown modes

Countdown processing involves updating the countdown calculations and managing the mode transitions of the record.

There are five possible modes:

  • Pending — All targets in the Scheduled or Next position are Pending.

  • Stopped — A Stopped target is in the Current position with its countup and countdown fields frozen.

  • Active — Any target in the Current position that is actively processing progress of the meter toward the target is Active. Countup and countdown fields change as the meter volume counts change.

  • Wait — This mode is particular to the Full Automatic type of countdown. This is the initial mode in the Current position, where the target must wait for the designated multistate point to change to a Start state before going to Active mode.

  • Completed — The target in the Previous position is in Completed mode.
