Switch a Protected Location from Low Mode to High Mode

If you command a Protected Location to switch to a higher operating intensity, and the Protected Location passes all violation checks, the Protected Location switches successfully to High mode. However, if certain upstream or downstream analog, rate, status, multistate, pump, valve, and/or remote points fail one or more violation checks, the system notifies you about the violation(s) and does not proceed with the switch.

A Command Interlock dialog similar to the one below appears:

Note: For analog points, the message on the Command Interlock dialog indicates the value below which the point must drop in order to exit the violation condition.
At this point, you can either override the warning, or proceed to correct the situations causing the violations.
After addressing the cause of the violations, attempt once again to switch the Protected Location into High mode. The Command Interlock dialog may appear again listing violations detected further upstream or downstream after the first violation or set of violations. As before, proceed to correct the situations causing the violations.
When the system reports that no more violation conditions exist downstream, you can successfully switch the Protected Location into High mode.
Note: Administrators have access to a Station Search Depth field, which limits the number of stations checked for violations. Violations may still exist at certain stations. However, since the system was programmed to check only a certain number of stations, it concerns itself only with potential violations at those stations.
