The process of switching from one active batch to another occurs separately from periodic data processing. For more information on periodic data processing, see Work with the active batch processor calculations applied to the data.
This process of switching between active batches can be initiated by Controller command or initiated automatically when certain Administrator-specified or Controller-specified events occur. These events are as follows:
-
Batch Start
-
Batch Split
-
Batch Stop
-
Maintenance to Normal
They can be commanded at the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA host whether the batch location is Host Managed or Remote Managed.
If the location is Remote Managed, the command is forwarded to the flow computer and no AVEVA Enterprise SCADA host processing is done. The resulting batch changes are seen on the Batch Transfer displays when the flow computer processing is done and the new batch data is polled.
