Process Controller commands

The Controller has three commands available that are issued to the valve record. The command is not executed directly by valve processing but is instead forwarded to the command process for the associated status or multistate record. Valve processing is then notified when state updates in the status or multistate result, and executes as detailed in Understanding the Calculations Applied to the Data section.

Commands issued to the Logical type valve records have no effect, as there is no associated status or multistate record.

Available commands are Open, Close, and Stop.
