Follow this procedure to schedule one or more countdown targets. For more information, refer to the AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids Administrator documentation.
To schedule a countdown target
-
On the Countdowncfg Summary window, select the row header of the record you want to use to schedule a countdown target.
The Countdown Control dialog opens.

-
Select Create new Schedule.
The Create Countdown dialog appears.

-
In the Set Volume field, enter a countdown volume.
Note: The target is a volume relative to the current Total GSV (Total Gross Standard Volume).
-
Optional: Type a Description.
-
Optional: If the volume is an absolute value, as opposed to a relative value, select the Absolute? checkbox. When selected, the Set Volume is the amount to count starting at the current value of the data source.
Note: If the checkbox is selected, the Source Count Direction is determined based on the current volume in the source (Tank, Batch Transfer etc.). If the source volume is increasing, the direction will be set to Up. If the source volume is decreasing, the direction will be set to Down.
If the Absolute checkbox has not been selected, the progress counts up from zero, and continues to count until the Set Volume is reached.
Note: If the checkbox is not selected, the Source Count Direction is determined based on the current volume in the source (Tank, Batch Transfer etc.) after observing three consecutive deltas in the same direction. Once the countdown direction is set, it will remain unchanged even if the source direction has changed.
-
Select Create new countdown.
The countdown appears in the Scheduled Countdowns section on the Countdown Control dialog.
If this is the first scheduled countdown in the queue, it also appears as Pending in the Next Countdown column.

If this is the first Countdown for this countdowncfg record, the Ready button will now be available to make the first Pending Countdown the Current Countdown.
-
Select Ready to allow tracking for this countdowncfg record.
