The Inhibits tab is used to configure automatic and Administrator-enabled inhibits within a batch transfer source (batchXferSource) record.

To inhibit alarms and events associated with the Batch Transfer Source

  1. Open the batchXferSource record. For more information on the how to open the record, see Create the information source for the Batch Transfer (BatchXfer) record.

    The batchXferSource Row Edit appears.

  2. Select the Inhibits tab.

    The Inhibits tab appears.

  3. (Optional) To disable the batchXferSource record, select the Inhibit checkbox. When inhibited, no telemetry readings will be collected by the record, although telemetry readings that already exist for the record will continue to be associated with the current ticket.

Notes: If you inhibit a batchXferSource record that uses a Virtual Flow Computer (VFC), then when a new ticket is started or split, the batchXferCalc records associated with the batchXferSource record will disappear from the Batch Transfer Source Summary (SUM_BATCHXFER_SOURCE.xem).

If you clear the Inhibit checkbox from the batchXferSource record, a batchXferCalc record associated with the batchXferSource is created.

  4. (Optional) To configure a status or multistate point that will indicate when the record should be inhibited, select the Use Auto-Inhibit checkbox.

When Use Auto-Inhibit is configured, a message will appear for the Controller on the Batch Transfer Calculation window in the easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS) that indicates that the Auto-Inhibit is allowed.

  5. In the Auto-inhibit state point field, select (...) to define the point that will indicate when the record has been auto-inhibited.

The Path Selector will appear, and you will be able to select the table and record that will define the Auto-inhibit state point. If a table and record are not selected, you will not be able to select Accept.

  6. In the Inhibit States field, enter one or more integers separated by commas. Each integer represents a status or multistate value that, if present, designates the batchXferSource as inhibited.

Note: For a Batch Transfer where the Batch Transfer Source is attached to a rate point, when the Batch Transfer Source is in the Auto-Inhibit state or when it is manually inhibited, changes in the value of the underlying rate point will not be accounted for in the ticket volume. These value changes include normal increases in the underlying point as well as jumps, spikes, and rollovers.

  7. In the Enable States field, enter one or more integers separated by commas. Each integer represents a status or multistate value that, if present, designates the batchXferSource as enabled.
