The flowxfer records are configured using the tabs on the flowxfer Row Edit dialog. The Main tab is used to set up the basic properties of the record.

The following table lists the fields on the Main tab in the Product Transfer Checking (flowxfer) Row Edit dialog.
Item |
Description |
|---|---|
Name |
The name of the flowxfer record |
Description |
Description of the flowxfer record. |
Group |
Click (...) and select the name of the group you want to associate with this record from the group Select dialog. A group is assigned to all closely-related devices, such as analog, rate, status or remote devices. |
Station |
Click (...) to select a station record which defines the location of the flowxfer. |
Safety Related |
Select this checkbox to indicate that the point is safety related. |
Dataset |
Click (...) and select the name of the dataset you want to associate with this record from the dataset Select dialog. A dataset contains privileges assigned for each system and mode. Once a record is assigned to a dataset value, the dataset can only be changed to a value for which the system has a privilege record. A record’s dataset cannot be changed in such a way that the system can no longer access the record. |
Group |
A group record is assigned to all records associated with what is usually a defined geographical area. Select (...) to define the associated group record. |

Unless the table and record have been selected properly, the Accept button is disabled. If there is a valve defined for the record, then the valve is checked to see if it is open before doing any of the processing. If the valve is closed, then the record will be ignored when the application does the check between the two devices. |
Valve Closed States |
A string of values to represent which states are closed. An example of an acceptable string would be "0, 1, 3" which would mean that base message states 0, 1 and 3 are closed. For more information about where to obtain those values, see Understand how to define states for Product Transfer Checking records. |
