Understand initial states of an Action Sequence

After you have configured and enabled the steps for the Action Sequence, it will be in an Idle state. In this state, the Action Sequence is ready to start processing when commanded. The command depends on whether the Action Sequence has been configured to follow a one-stage or a two-stage activation:

  • One-stage โ€” Step processing begins whenever a Start command is issued. This can be done either by the Controller or automatically.

  • Two-stage โ€” The Controller cannot issue the Start command while in the Idle state. Instead, the Controller issues the Arm command to move the Action Sequence to the Armed state. The Start command can then be issued to commence processing.

Notes: While the Action Sequence is in the Armed state, the Controller can move the state to Idle by issuing the Disarm command.
If an automatic Start command is received while in the Idle state, the Armed state is bypassed and processing begins directly.
