From the virtualflowcomputer Row Edit dialog of your desired record, create an accumulator record. For more information on creating an accumulator record, see Create an Accumulator record.
The accumulator Row Edit dialog appears.

-
Configure Meter Type to Orifice.

-
Select the Orifice tab.
The Orifice tab appears.

Note: The Name and Virtual Flow Computer fields are read-only. These fields are populated when you create your accumulator record.
Configure an accumulator using the Orifice Meter Type
There are 2 options for configuring an accumulator with an Orifice Meter Type.
(Option 1) Configure the Rate field on the Main tab to provide the desired polled counter (Pulse or Pulse&Analog) or flow rate (Analog). No values in the Orifice tab are required but may be optionally configured for auditing purposes.
(Option 2) Leave the Rate field on the Main tab unspecified, and configure all fields in the Orifice tab to have the system calculate the flow rate.
If both the Rate in the Main tab and Differential Pressure Analog in the Orifice tab are configured, then the Rate is used for determining the desired polled counter or flow rate.

In the Tube Inside Diameter (inches) field, enter the interior diameter of the tube at the reference temperature of 68° Fahrenheit. It must be strictly greater than the Plate Bore Diameter.
-
In the Tube Material field, click the dropdown to select the material that the tube is composed of. The material is used to look up the thermal coefficient.
-
In the Plate Bore Diameter (inches) field, enter the diameter of the plate bore at the reference temperature of 68° Fahrenheit. It must be strictly less than the Tube Inside Diameter.
-
In the Plate Material field, click the dropdown to select material that the plate is composed of. The material is used to look up the thermal coefficient.
-
In the Differential Pressure Analog field, click (…) and select the name of the analog that will be providing the desired differential pressure value.
-
In the Differential Pressure Unit field, click the dropdown to select the unit that the Differential Pressure Analog value is reported in.
-
In the Tap Location field, click the dropdown to select the location of the tap relative to the meter.
Note: Tap Type and Calculation Method currently support a single configuration value each, Flange and API 14.3 – 1992, respectively.
