To access the prodgroup Row Edit dialog

  1. Open the Advanced Database Editor (ADE).

  2. Select View > LMS.

The list of AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids RealTime database (RTDB) tables will appear.

  3. From that list, expand Product Group. Double-click on the chosen product group record from the list.

The prodgroup Row Edit dialog will appear.

The following table describes the fields on the prodgroup Row Edit dialog.

Items

Commodity

Description of the commodity that the prodgroup represents. As with Description above, this is information only and has no effect on processing.

Netting Algorithm

Method used to apply the correction factors in order to correct a volume measurement of fluid of this prodgroup.

Selection criteria for the netting algorithm are described in Understand the API Netting Algorithm.

Correction Library

The correction library used to provide the correction factors to the AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids application.

  • API 2004 – selected by default

  • API 1980

  • REFPROP Volume

  • REFPROP Mass

  • API 11.3.2.1 1st Ed. Ethylene

API 2004 and 1980 provide correction factors for the temperature and pressure, in addition to a corrected density value. In contrast, the REFPROP Mass and REFPROP Volume calculations apply no temperature or pressure calculation and only correct density.

In the event that REFPROP Mass is selected, the linepack of a pipe segment will be calculated in pounds rather than the volume unit selected in the assigned unit profile, even though the associated volume units will still appear on the Controller’s windows.

This means that when you are configuring the associated pipe_segment record, the values entered there (for example, for Capacity) will need to be entered as they appear in the Unit Profile. The REFPROP Mass library will then convert from volumes to mass.

The Temperature Correction Table, Pressure Correction Table, and Density Correction Table entries below are only required for API Calculations.

Temperature Correction Table

API correction table used to get the temperature correction factor.

Selection criteria for the temperature correction is described in Select the proper API table.

Pressure Correction Table

API correction table used to get the pressure correction factor.

Selection criteria for the pressure correction are described in Select the proper API table.

Density Correction Table

API correction table used to correct the density to standard temperature.

Selection criteria for the density correction are described in Select the proper API table.

Volume Units

Imperial or Metric. This is not edited directly but is automatically set according to the Temperature Correction Table selected.

The following table describes correction tables to use when configuring the prodgroup record for API1980.
