Set plate unfolding specifications

Unfolding specifications are defined per IPLATE element in the Properties window, where you can access the Unfolding configuration window and set the unfolding method and associated parameters.

These settings are applied during Part Generation in the Production Design application (see Part Generation window), when the plate is sent for manufacturing. For more information on how unfolding supports the manufacturing process, see Unfolder plate development.

Set plate unfolding specifications

1. Select an IPLATE element.

2. In the Properties window, select inside the Unfolder row, then select ....

   

   The Unfolding Configuration window opens.

3. In the Unfolder dropdown list, select either Classic or Single curved.

   

4. Enter the desired unfolding options. See Unfolding configuration window for more information on each option.

   Note: Unfolding options on the right side of the window are available for the classic unfolding method only.

5. Select Create.

   The IPLATE element is updated with the chosen unfolding configurations.
