You can create a bracket defined by two available stiffeners and specified parameters for the bracket.

  1. On the Hull Design tab in the Create group, select Bracket.

  2. In the 3D View, select the orienting model, for example, a stiffener.

The stiffener is highlighted, here in yellow.

  3. Press Down Arrow to display the available options.

  4. Select Accept.

The application displays the Add limit length <0mm> prompt in the 3D View.

  5. Enter a length value in mm to define the first bracket arm, for example, 1000.

  6. Press Enter.

The application displays the Select pline to keep prompt in the 3D View.

  7. Enter a P-line position name to define the side on which the bracket must be created, for example, CTOP.

  8. Press Enter.

The application displays the Add toe length <0mm> prompt.

  9. Enter a toe length value in mm to define the first toe length, for example, 200.

  10. Press Enter.

The application displays the Add toe radius <0mm> prompt.

  11. Enter a toe radius value in mm to define the first toe radius, for example, 200.

The application displays the Select connecting model limit 2 or prompt.

  12. Repeat step 2 to 11 to define the other bracket arm:

    1. As connected model, select the second stiffener.

    2. For length, enter 1000.

    3. For P-line, enter CTOP.

    4. For toe length, enter 200.

    5. For toe radius, enter 200.

The application displays the Select connecting model limit 3 or prompt.

  13. Press Down Arrow to display the available options.

  14. Select Free side limit.

    The bracket is created.
