Integrator Build

The Build Form identifies P&ID items that have not yet been built in E3D, then uses Generative Design AI routing to locate and create the missing pipes.. It provides a structured, step-by-step process for loading, reviewing, and validating data, ensuring that outstanding items are clearly visible and easy to manage.

The form integrates with the piping discipline and presents information in a detailed grid layout, allowing users to review item status at a glance. A built-in progress tracker guides users through each stage of the process, giving clear feedback on how far along the task is and what has been completed.

Integrator Build

  1. On the Piping tab, in the Integrator group, select Build .

  2. Select the Search for unbuilt items option or the Search option.

    Note:
    The Search for unbuilt items option and the Search option have the same functionality.

  3. A Warning window displays.

  4. Select Yes to display the progress bar.

  5. When the process completes, the Integrator Build window displays a grid of piping networks from the P&ID that are not built in the model.

    The grid column include the following: Name, Bore, From, To, Specification, Insulation, Trace specification, Type, Refno, and Grind link ID.The rows that are highlighted in orange are missing values in From, To or Specification fields.

    Note:
    You can run additional queries on selected grid items to view child elements.

  6. Select Validated selected

    This is to identify where a pipe starts and finishes.

    Data Logic

    Integrator Build uses Name-to-name matching method with a matching type. See Name-to-name match. You configure this in the branch member settings in Integrator Configuration.See branch member.

    For example, if the matching type ‘Exact’ is selected in the configuration, the system checks each P&ID item whose name matches the corresponding item name in the model for the same type.

Validated selected

It Validates or identifies the From and To data for selected P&ID items in the grid and compares them with the corresponding data in the Model. If no matching data is found in the Model, the application displays an error message. Any P&ID items that do not match an E3D item are then displayed.

Note:
Items that do not contain From, To, or Specification data are not validated. If the application finds valid From and To information in the Model, it generates an additional grid to display these details.

Workflow 1

For a single set of From and To data in E3D.

Note:
The current validation process for From and To data in the Model applies only to Nozzle, Equipment, Piping Network Segments, and Piping Components.

Build with (GenDAI)

The validated information is passed to GenDAI for building.

Workflow 2

If From and To data returns multiple results in the Model, the List of Connections icon appears at the bottom of the window. Select the icon to open a window displaying the Head and Tail details of the selected segment.

Note:
The details automatically update the From and To fields in the grid.

Check build status

Check build status of selected items

Verifies the build status of the selected item in the grid. If the item is built, it is removed from the grid. If it is not built, the item remains unchanged.

Check build status of selected items' members

Loads the child items of the selected engineering items that have not yet been built into the grid.

For example, in piping network system, it displays piping network segments together with their members.

Located P&ID(s)

The second section of the build form is the P&ID viewer, which displays the P&IDs associated with the engineering item selected in the grid.You can open the corresponding P&ID drawings from this section.
