Add Skewed Dimensions

Adds skewed dimensions to a view. Skewed dimensions can be used to measure the distance of angled or sloped elements. Skewed dimensions can provide annotations along the X, Y and Z axes using a 3D box as placement for each of the skewed line dimensions.
On the Annotate tab, in the Annotate group, select Skewed Dimension.
You are prompted to Specify the dimension point or <Orientation>
Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the first point to measure from.
You are then prompted to Specify the dimension point or
Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the second point to measure to.
You are then prompted to Specify the dimension line position or
Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the position of the dimension line which measures the direct distance between the two selected dimension points.
You are then prompted to Specify the dimension line position or
Move the cursor across the 3D box to preview the skewed dimension line, the dimension line direction is created along the X axis.
Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the position of the skewed dimension line.
The prompt is repeated, allowing you to create additional skewed dimension lines along the Y and Z axes.
Throughout the skewed dimension creation process you can press ESC to cancel the command. Additional functionality is also available.

Orientation |
Press the down arrow key and select Orientation to specify the orientation of the isometric/aligned dimension line. You are prompted to Select option <Orthogonal> Input A at the prompt and press Enter to specify the dimension line (which measures the direct distance between the two selected dimension points) orientation as aligned. Alternatively, input L at the prompt and press Enter to specify the dimension line (which measures the direct distance between the two selected dimension points) orientation as isometric aligned. |

The example displays an aligned dimension line. The main dimension line is aligned, neither the main dimension line nor the projection lines are isometric. The child LDIM dimension lines and projection lines are isometric.

The example displays an aligned isometric dimension line. The main dimension line is aligned but not isometric, while the projection lines are isometric. The child LDIM dimension lines and projection lines are isometric.

The new SKWDIM element displays in the Draw Explorer and contains two DPPT elements that represent each dimension point and three LDIM elements that represent each skewed dimension.
