Layer definition

Use the Layer Definition tab to define and manage the layers that are used in the DXF/DWG plate export. These layers control how different plate elements are represented in the output file.

This tab contains a grid that lists all available layers in the configuration. Each row in the grid represents a layer, and the columns define its properties.

Default Layer

Defines the base layer used for entities that are not explicitly assigned to a specific category.

Contour

Represents the outer boundary of the plate.

Hole

Represents holes in the plate.

Information

Represents informational elements in the output.

BevelTS

Defines the layer used to represent bevel geometry on this side (TS) of the plate.

BevelOS

Defines the layer used to represent bevel geometry on the other side (OS) of the plate.

BevelBS

Defines the layer used to represent bevel geometry on both sides (BS) of the plate.

MarkingTS

Defines the layer used to represent marking lines on this side of the plate.

MarkingOS

Defines the layer used to represent marking lines on the other side of the plate.

MarkingBS

Defines the layer used to represent marking lines on both sides of the plate.

Excess

Represents excess material outside the plate boundary.

When you select a layer, its properties are displayed in the fields below the grid.

You can see the following fields:

Name

Displays the selected layer name.

Colour

Displays the assigned colour.

Line Style

Displays the type of the line.

Weight

Displays the thickness of the line.

You can modify these values to control how the selected layer appears in the export.

Select Store to save the changes to the configuration, or Cancel to discard the changes.
