Doubling Plate function

Note: A doubling plate is hidden when Thin Models view is enabled
Creates interactively doubling plates at:
-
Holes,
-
Notches,
-
Along closed curves.
If you select the function, the application displays the Select hole, notch or curve prompt in the 3D view.

Identify the element
The prompt enables you to select the element to be doubled.
Press Enter to confirm the selection of the element.
Press Down Arrow to display further options.

Accepts the selection and displays the Add outer offset.prompt.

Define the outer offset or Insert type
The prompt enables that you can enter the outer offset, a value in mm.

Alternatively, you can select the boundary location in the 3D view.
When you selected holes or notches, press Down Arrow to display a further options.

Insert |
Defines to position a doubling plate inside an existing hole or curve and is aligned with the surrounding plate surface.

Press Enter to confirm the defintion of the plate type or the entry of the outer offset and to display the Add inner offset.prompt.

Define the inner offset or closed type
The prompt enables that you can enter the inner offset, a value in mm. For a positive value:

Alternatively, you can select the boundary location in the 3D view.
Press Down Arrow to display a further option.

Closed |
Defines to postion a doubling plate at the corner or side of the panel that covers the referenced geometry from the outside.

Press Enter to confirm the closed type or the entry of the inner offset.
