DXF/DWG Export

The export of plate parts to DXF/DWG (Drawing Exchange Format / Drawing) format is performed using predefined configuration settings. These configurations control how the plate data is processed and written to the output files. When no specific configuration is selected, the export follows the default behavior defined in the system configuration.

The export functionality allows you to select the required format (DXF or DWG), version, and output location. Based on the selected configuration in the Parts Manager window, the system determines how the exported files are structured and generated.

For more information on configuration, see DXF/DWG plate configuration.

Export setup

The export setup is based on the selected configuration, which defines how the export is processed.

To perform the export, a configuration must be selected, the Export window updates to reflect the options available for the selected configuration.

The configuration controls the structure of the output, including whether the export is created as a single file or as separate files for each selected plate. It also defines how file names are generated and which format and version options are available.

Export behavior

The export is initiated from the Parts Manager window after selecting the required plate parts. The number of selected parts is displayed in the Export window, and the output is generated based on the selected file format.

If Single File is selected, the system creates one file containing all selected parts and assigns an automatically generated file name.

If File per Part is selected, the system exports each plate as an individual file using the part name as the file name.

Note: Export is enabled only after a valid output directory is selected.
