Template function

Defines a template from an existing element, such as a panel or bracket. The element needs to be available as a panel schema in a .sch file.

Template Name

Specifies the name displayed in the Templates window during panel or bracket creation.

If you enter a name that already exists, the application does not overwrite the existing template. Instead, it appends a consecutive number to the name.

Create a template from an existing panel

1. On the Hull Design tab, in the Create area, select Template to display the Open window.

2. Select a prepared schema to display the Please enter a template name prompt.

3. Enter a template name.

4. Press Enter.

   The application creates the template with the specified name. You can now select the new template during panel creation. For more information, see Create panel from an existing template.
