Ancillary Rule Checker

The Ancillary Rule Checker window is used to verify that the rules defined for a specific ancillary type do not conflict with the ancillary defaults. When a rule is created using Ancillaries for Rules, its properties are generated automatically so they align with the application defaults. However, rules can later be modified manually through Rule Manager, and the application defaults themselves can also be updated.

Because of this, a rule may no longer conform to the current defaults. Rule Checker provides a way to validate that all rules associated with an ancillary type remain consistent with those defaults.

In the Paragon Supports application, on the Supports tab, in the Rules group, select to display the Ancillary Rule Checker window:

The form is split into three sections:

  • Rules: Displays the Rule Name (DRULE), Rule Purpose, and Rule Description.

  • Anciallry and Frame: Displays the ancillary result, the frame type the ancillary is allowed on, and the rule logic.

  • Check Rules: Displays the ancillary property, the App Default Data setting, the associated Rule Data, and the Validity of the rule with respect to the app defaults.

For Ancillary BT01A shown in the image, the rules are entirely compatible with the ancillary defaults.
