Create tap on seam

Prerequisites

• Create a panel with a hole.

• Create a seam.

  

You can create taps on points at the seam predefined by the application.

1. On the Production Design tab, in the Create group, select Tap

   The Tap window opens.

   

2. In the Tap window, select Search taps.

   The Tap Code Selection window opens.

   

3. Select a code (for example, Code 1).

4. Select Apply.

   The application populates the Tap window with the selected code number and the corresponding tap geometry values.

5. Select Create on Seam.

6. In the 3D View, select the panel.

   The application displays the predefined selection spheres on the seam.

   

7. Select the identifier where you want to create the tap.

   The application highlights the selected spheres.

   

8. Press Down Arrow.

9. Select Accept.

10. On the Production Design tab, in the Visibility group, enable Tap.

    The application creates the taps and displays them in the 3D View.

    

    In the Model Explorer, you can access a tap as an IPRTAP attribute.

    

    You can now include the tap information in the Part Generation process.
