Insert a doubling plate at a hole

This procedure describes how to insert a doubling plate at an existing hole in a plate.

Prerequisites

• Create a hole on a plate.

Insert a doubling plate at a hole

1. On the Hull Design tab, in the Create group, select Doubling Plate.

   The application displays the Select hole, notch or curve prompt in 3D View.

   

2. Select the hole.

3. Press the Down Arrow.

4. Select Accept.

   The application displays the Add outer offset prompt.

   

5. Enter the outer offset value, for example, 300 mm.

6. Press Enter

   The application displays the Add inner offset prompt.

   

7. Enter the inner offset value, for example, 50 mm.

8. Press Enter.

   The application creates the doubling plate.

   

   You can now modify the offset or the plate type of the doubling plate using the property grid. For more information, see Offset and other properties on doubling plates.
