Creates a curve from points. The resulting curve owns all newly created points. You can create new points independently, create points using contextual input, or use existing points.
By default, the curve type is polyline unless you create a spline curve.
On the Common Reference tab, in the Create group, select Curve.
The available options are:

Coordinates |
Create a point by entering coordinates. |

Along Curve |
Create a point at a position along an existing curve. |
|
Intersection |
Create a point where it intersects another element. |
|
Existing |
Reuse an existing point to use as part of the curve. |
|
Spline Curve |
Create a curve as a spline curve using new or existing points. |
After you select a surface or panel, additional options become available:

Y |
Create a point on the Y axis. |
|
Z |
Create a point on the Z axis. |
|
Offset |
Create a point at a specified distance and direction from a reference point. |
|
Vector |
Create a point by projecting a specified vector direction and distance from a starting location. |
Create a curve from newly defined points

On the Common Reference tab, in the Create group, select Curve.
Curve creation by points is the default behaviour.

Select the surface or panel you wish to create points on.
Define a ray or
appears:

(Optional) Press the down arrow to choose a different option for point creation:

To set a location for the point, either:

select a location in the 3D view to set the point interactively.

enter the coordinates of the point into the X, Y and Z fields.
The system creates the point as a ICRPNT element.

Create all points necessary for the curve.

Press Enter.
The system creates the ICRCUR element.
The element can be modified at any time. You can either double-click on the curve to move its points or apply radius by grips.
