Add a new AutoPos configuration

Use Add to create a new AutoPos configuration.

Prerequisites

Ensure that the Production - Auto Pos window is open. For more information about how to use each AutoPos option, see Auto Pos configuration.

Procedure

1. Select Add.

2. Under AutoPos configuration definition, enter the following:

   1. Name

   2. Description

3. Under AutoPos part assignment, right-click in the table, and then select Add.

   

   Note: You can repeat this action to add multiple part types.

   The Part Types, Position Range / Sorting / Symmetry and Tolerances sections are enabled.

4. Under Part Types, select the required part types from the Available Types list, and then select Add.

5. Under Position Range / Sorting / Symmetry, specify the following:

   3. Position number range: Min # and Max #

      Note: Enter a unique position number range. If the range is already in use, the system displays an error message.

   4. Sorting: Select the following:

      1. Primary

      2. Secondary

      3. Order

   5. Symmetry: Select Consider Symmetry checkbox, if required.

6. Select Store.

   6. A confirmation message appears, and the new configuration is displayed in the Production - AutoPos configuration list.
