Define endcut properties

Use this procedure to apply endcut, bevel on web, bevel on flange, and excess properties to an element.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have an element open that supports endcut properties. For more information, see Endcut properties.

  1. In the Model Explorer, select the required element (for example, Stiffener).

  2. In the Properties window, select Key Parameters Designation (for example, T-Bar 40).

  3. Under Endcut, set the following values:

    1. Cutting plate type Built-in

    2. Designation – Enter the required designation (for example, 3102 40).

    3. Functional type – Select the required classification (for example, Sniped).

    4. Spacing type – Select the required spacing (for example, Gap).

    5. Size of spacing – Enter the required value (for example, 0mm).

  4. Under Bevel on Web, specify the following:

    1. Bevel Code – Select a bevel code from the Bevel Code Selection window (for example, 200).

    2. E-measure – Enter the required value (for example, 0mm).

    3. Side – Select Positive or Negative (for example, Negative).

    4. Variant – Select the required variant (for example, V0).

  5. Under Bevel on Flange, specify the following:

    1. Bevel Code

    2. E-measure

    3. Side

    4. Variant

  6. Under Excess, enter the required excess value (for example, 10mm).

  7. Switch to the Production discipline.

  8. On the Production tab, in the Visibility group, select the following:

    1. Select Bevel to display the applied bevel codes on the element's web and flange in red.

    2. Select Excess to display the excess area on the element in blue.

      The system displays the applied bevel codes in red and excess area in blue.
