Understand the Mark function

With the Mark function on the Part Editor tab, in the Create group, you can create markings on the part in the 2D view. By default, the application creates the marking on this side of the part. You can change the side using the Properties grid. For more information, see Understand the marking properties.
When you select Mark, the mark creation operation starts. You can define, position, and rotate the marking interactively. Move the pointer into the 2D view to display a prompt.

You can define the marking start point in either of the following ways:

Enter coordinates:
Enter the X and Y coordinates in the prompt. The coordinates are referenced to the global origin. -
Pick a location:
Select a location directly in the 2D view.
Select Enter to confirm the entries or the selection to display the next prompt:

Define at least one end point. You can define the marking end point in the same way as the start point.
Select Enter to confirm the entries or the selection. To display additional options for different input, select the Down Arrow key.

The available options for the second and subsequent points vary depending on the previous input.
