Move a hole using a grip

Before you begin:

1. Add part to Part Manager using Manufacturing Explorer.

2. Open Part Inspector.

3. Create a hole on the part.

   

4. Turn on Grid snap to allow precise grid point selection.

5. Make sure that feature creation mode is not active. Select the Escape key if necessary.

Procedure

6. In the 2D view, select the hole on the part.

   The grip funtionality appears on the hole and shows the hole with a dashed outline.

   

7. Select the Point Grip.

   The Point Grip turns red. Another hole with a solid line and a prompt appear.

   

8. Move the solid-outline to the required location.

   The coordinates appear relative to the original hole location.

9. Select the grid point to ensure required x and y distance.

   The hole moves from its original location to the selected point.
