Draw Sheet Export

The export of plate parts to Draw is performed using predefined configuration settings. These configurations control how the plate data is processed and written to the output files. When no specific configuration is selected, the export follows the default behavior defined in the system configuration.

The export functionality allows you to select the required configuration, view settings and output location. Based on the selected configuration in the Parts Manager window, the system determines how the exported files are structured and generated.

For more information on configuration, see Draw plate configuration.

The export is initiated from the Parts Manager window after selecting the required plate parts. The number of selected parts is displayed in the Export window, and the output is generated based on the selected file format.

To export Draw sheets from the Parts Manager, select Draw Sheet(s) from the Format dropdown list.

Export setup

The export setup is based on the selected configuration, which defines how the export is processed.

To perform the export, a configuration must be selected, the Export window updates to reflect the options available for the selected configuration.

The configuration controls the structure of the output, including whether the export is created as a single sheet or as separate sheets for each selected plate. It also defines how file names are generated and which sizing options are available.

Export behavior

Size

Exports the plates using the values defined in the View Size, Width and Height fields.

Scale

Exports the plates using the value defined in the View Scale field.

Location

Specifies the location of the exported Draw Sheet(s) file. Select Browse to navigate to the file location using the Hierarchy Browser window. For more information, see Hierarchy Browser.

If Single Sheet is selected, the system creates one sheet containing all selected parts and assigns an automatically generated drawing name.

If Sheet per Part is selected, the system exports each plate as an individual sheet using the part name as the drawing name.

Note: Export is enabled only after a valid output location is selected.
